Cookie Policy

Effective 2026-07-06. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar tracking technologies DispatchPrep uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It applies to the website at dispatchprep.com, operated by Public Safety Prep LLC (doing business as DispatchPrep).

What we use

DispatchPrep uses a small set of strictly-necessary cookies to keep you logged in and to process your purchase. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or analytics cookies that profile individual users.

Cookie / token Set by Purpose Duration
Supabase session token (HTTP-only) Supabase (our auth provider) Keeps you signed in to your DispatchPrep account between visits. Until logout or 1 year, whichever comes first
Stripe session cookies Stripe (during checkout only) Processes your payment securely on Stripe's hosted checkout page. Stripe sets these cookies on its own checkout domain, not on dispatchprep.com. Per Stripe's cookie policy
Netlify edge-auth cookie (pre-launch only) Netlify (our hosting provider) Pre-launch gate authentication. Will be removed when the site opens to the public. Session-scoped
PostHog analytics cookies (ph_*) PostHog (product analytics) Anonymous product-usage analytics: which modules are started, completed, abandoned. We only identify a session with your account ID after you sign in, so we can measure logged-in-user funnels (e.g. did a free-tier user complete a session and then upgrade). We do not run advertising on this data and never sell it. 1 year
Cloudflare Turnstile cookies (cf_*) Cloudflare (bot protection on forms) Distinguishes humans from bots on the sign-in, B2B contact, and sample-questions forms. Cloudflare sets these only when you interact with one of those forms. Per Cloudflare's cookie policy

What we don't use

DispatchPrep does not use Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracker that builds an advertising profile of you across other sites. PostHog (above) is product analytics — we use it only to understand how the DispatchPrep platform itself is used, never for advertising or for cross-site tracking.

If you arrive from an ad, we note in your browser which ad brought you (for example the campaign name in the web address), and send it with your purchase so we can tell which ads lead to sales. It stays on dispatchprep.com and is never shared with an ad network. Press Decline on the cookie notice and it is deleted.

Your choices

The session token, Stripe checkout cookies, and Turnstile bot-check cookies are strictly necessary — you can't log in, pay, or submit a form without them. PostHog analytics and the ad-source note are the only things that aren't strictly necessary. Press Decline on the cookie notice to turn both off; we also honor your browser's Do Not Track signal and Global Privacy Control. If you prefer not to use any cookies at all, you can browse the public marketing pages without signing in.

Browser controls

You can clear cookies set on dispatchprep.com using your browser's standard cookie-management controls. Clearing the session cookie will log you out; your account and progress remain in our database and you can sign back in.
